Chevy Chase on Tina Fey

I just had to share this. It's a quote from Chevy Chase. He was asked about the whole Tina Fey-Sarah Palin thing on SNL. He basically panned Palin on her appearance. This was his advice for Fey.
"I think Tina Fey's in a lot of trouble," he laughed. "Because after Jerry Ford lost, I made about $80 million. Are you kidding? You're talking to the wrong guy here. Tina's great!"
So there you go. The rise of Tina Fey is imminent.

MATT DRUDGE IS RIDICULOUS

I think that Drudge Report is a great news site just for getting blanket coverage of what the news day is all about. Every fall/winter though I have to pull my hair out over some of his headline. Here are some examples from today:

Gore delivers environmental message at Harvard...

...with near 125-year record breaking low temps

Cyclists 'braved freezing cold temps' to promote global warming awareness...

I guess I get what Drudge is going for but come on. I'd hate to break it to him but there still will be winter for a few more years. I get that the name has "warming" in it but there still might be a cool day here or there. Its just a bunch of weak attempts to try to get his view across that global warming does not exist.

I am sure he will continue to point out every speech Al Gore gives on a chilly, October morning but I for one feel a little better getting that off my chest, just don't ask me why.

$3,000,000 Overhead Projector?

So last night on the 2nd presidential debate John McCain suggested in passing that Barack Obama voted to spend 3 million dollars on an overhead projector. What was he talking about?

With a little searching I found that he was actually referring to a proposal Obama made to try and get some funding for the Adler Planetarium. It hadn't been updated in over 40 years and they no longer made the replacement parts for the dated equipment they used at the time.

I know McCain is out of touch but come on this was not for some desktop projector! It was for the buses full of students who, because of Barack Obama, can still visit this Chicago landmark.

Not exactly wasteful spending.

Well that didn't work out.

Kangaroos Not Cows

Australian professor Ross Garnaut thinks that raising kangaroos instead of cows for meat has a ton of benefits, 16 million tons to be exact. That's how many tons of carbon we could stop from being released into the atmosphere. Not only that but it would be more profitable in the long term.

I am all about this, save the planet! I only have one question though. What does kangaroo taste like? Has anyone ever tried it before?
